Unlike hospital operating rooms or multi-specialty surgery centers, Bloomington Surgery Center performs ophthalmology cases exclusively. Every member of our surgical team, from our dedicated OR nurses to our surgical technicians, is trained specifically in ophthalmic procedures. Our two operating rooms and laser suite are equipped and optimized for eye surgery alone.

Bloomington Surgery Center is located within the same building as our clinic. There is no separate hospital admission, no unfamiliar facility, and no fragmented care team. Patients move seamlessly from pre-operative preparation through surgery and into recovery, all within a space designed specifically for this purpose.
What to Expect on Your Surgery Day
When you arrive at Bloomington Surgery Center, our front desk team will welcome you and guide you through check-in. Your pre-operative nurse will bring you back to a pre-op bay, where you will meet your surgeon and the anesthesia team before your procedure.
Surgery takes place in one of our two dedicated operating rooms. Afterward, you will recover in the same comfortable room where you prepared, cared for by the same nursing team. Before you leave, a staff member will personally escort you to your vehicle.
